Key components of the traditional raised access flooring are::
Panel: A floor plate that can be covered with a variaty of flooring finishes. There are different types of floor panels from all steel, to concrete-filled panels, woodcore panels, calcium sulphate panels, HPL finish, PVC Finish and perforated floor panels.
Pedestal: An adjustable vertical post, which is bonded to the subfloor with mechanical fixing and an epoxy resin-based adhesive, if needed. The posts support the panels on the four corners

Types of Floor Panels:
Concrete-Filled Floor Panels: This is another commonly used access floor panel with formulated cementitious fill and a power coated epoxy finish. This adds to the strength of the panel providing superior stability, rigidity, and durability.

Woodcore Floor Panels: The Woodcore Access Panel is constructed of a high-density chipboard. The top surface is either High Pressure Laminate (HPL), Conduct PVC or stone, while the bottom is aluminum foil or galvanized steel sheet.
